Should i feel guilty?

I'm 25 and moved away from home 2 years ago to live with my boyfriend in the southwest. My parents were fully supportive however I pretty much have done the move and all that goes along with it all on my own. I finished school and began working in my field at a decent job while ive been here as well. I never ask for anything of my parents, I've always been independent however I'm running kind of short on money lately. I told my mom abut the situation and the next day my dad said he sent a check in the mail for a good amount. I really need the cash but feel very guilty that I asked for it. Is it normal?

Accept it with intentions to pay back when you can.

Yes it is normal to feel guilty. That is a good thing. it shows you are at least concerned with your responsibilities. As long as you intend to pay it back you should not feel as guilty. Your parents remember what it was like to start on their own. They probably have gone thru tough times themselves. They are probably happy that they are in a position to help you out. And it shows how loving and supportive your family is. I only wish my family was like that.
