Should i go back to public school for senior year?
I went to public school for my freshman year (9th) and it wasn't that great. Which is normal I guess. But for the second half of the year, I pretty much cried twice a day over this guy I was overly attached to, or over the fact that someone passing by me gave me a sideways look, or that I wasn't strong enough to stand up for myself in a situation where I was getting pushed around. And no I'm not looking for attention by purposely sounding emo or whatnot. I was too sensitive and my social anxiety made nothing better (think Tomoko Kuroki if you watch anime). My parents took me out, and I took my classes online for sophomore and now junior year. I've been a lot better emotionally, except for one time where I actually went to the movies with 1 of my 3 remaining friends, and her group of like 6 friends I didn't know. I freaked out and as soon as they all left I cried my butt off. Soooo I think I haven't really gotten over my social anxiety yet. Yet I have no problem talking with adults, stranger or not. I've been mistaken for being up to 8 years older due to my maturity ^_^ haha...
I've been dreaming about having some 'fantastic' senior year, where I have my little gang of friends, go to prom with a boyfriend, and make those high school memories everyone seems to talk about. I kind of want to go back and fix everything, make up for the lack of socializing during the past 2 years. Problem is that I'd be stuck going to the same high school I had in 9th grade, and I really wish I could have a fresher start. Also, I've been looking to get a job soon, and I honestly think it might be simpler for me to make friends through work and whatever else comes along, since I get along with pretty much all ages except my own (I think due to intimidation). But on the other hand, after this school year it's my last shot to go back to public school and have regular teenage memories. I'm not really sure what to do, but I don't want to regret putting my mental health on the line again. Opinions?
Sorry that was long, thanks for reading if you did!
