Should i go to the doctor?

So three weeks ago I tripped and dislocated my knee. Since I have school, work and one day to finish all my errands I continued on. I was in fact limping around at work for two days before I got frustrated trying to schedule an appointment and just fixed my own knee. It was protruding out to one side so I shoved it back into place and put on a knee brace. I left on brace for three days and than took it off. I was than able walk again. I no longer feel pain but my knee is still entirely purple. Shortly after that I tried wearing shorts and got sunburned on both knees. One of my knees healed and the other is still very itchy, still sunburned and still purple. Should I see a doctor?

Any dislocated joint should be checked by a Dr (or knowledgeable Nurse, Athletic Trainer, or Physical Therapist) to ensure that it has been properly reset and there is no other damage or muscle or tendon damage that requires therapy or other treatment.

It's better to go and it turns out to be nothing than to not go and it turns out to be a big deal later on.

Is there a possibility that you put your knee back into place a little off? If you feel no pain but your skin is bruising and swelling, it could be that your knee needs a bit of adjusting. It'd be worth visiting a doctor to have check out

Yes. My girlfriend ignored a lot of foot injuries and now some bones in her feet are fused.

We have modern medicine and a lot of urgent care centers. Use it!
