I can’t count the times that I’ve fallen into the toilet. Ass first, of course.
Do women just enter the bathroom and launch themselves ass-first toward the toilet without taking a single goddamn second to actually look where you're sitting? If guys have to lower the seat because you're too lazy to keep your eyes open before sitting, then women should have to raise the seat when THEY'RE done peeing
I always put the seat down cause im paranoid my wife'll fall in. Sometimes if I have to pee real bad in the middle of night I'll just keep the seat down and pee slightly on the toilet seat. Kind of disgusting but when shes tired she doesnt care.
Needing to put a seat down for the next person implies that said next person is too lazy and/or retarded to do it themselves.
Just put the seat down yourself if you want to sit on it, simple.
they say a man should put down the toilet seat for the next person might be a woman who sits down. but think about it does that mean a woman should put the seat up when done as the next person may be a male???
Game on. That would actually mean that both men and women need to touch the toilet seat, so things would be equal.
I put the seat down before I pee and put it up when I'm done. That'll show 'em
Yes a man and anyone else should always put the toilet seat and lid down after using the toilet, even if people don't like it, even if it upsets them it should persist, it's good manners.
Only if any women in the household raise the toilet seat after they're done
Really good question. Thank you for sharing. Very insightful. Lots of Love. XOXO - Brian Bartholomew Davidson III
I think both genders should put the toilet lid down after they're done. I just find it kind of gross not to, even if there's likely not a significant difference. If it's your house though, do what you want! In my house, I like the lids down.
Otherwise, it doesn't require a great amount of effort to lift or put down the toilet seat, nor does it require a great amount of effort to lift the lid, so my vote would be to put the lid down, regardless of gender.
If you've ever had a pet dog, or cat you learn to close the toilet lid.
It's also more hygienic this way.
I do it and so does my wife.
The default position of any toilet when not in use should be with both seats seats down. If both seats are down then no one can accidentally drop things in the toilet. Besides, leaving the toilet seat up is bad feng shui.
Also, it's a total dealbreaker for me when someone does that nasty, "if it's yellow let it mellow", thing. If some dude can't be bothered to flush the toilet, or put the toilet seat down it's just totally not worth putting up with the inconvenience just to have male company/companionship. If someone grosses me out I really dont care about being more than their casual platonic friend, nor do I care if they feel indignant, or offended about my opinions.
The reason people continue to have nasty, and unsanitary habits is because others continue to tolerate it. My dad is an 85 year old veteran with a messed up back from parachute jumping, and yet he always puts the seats down. It's not that difficult to be decent.
No. If you try to figure out the reason why men should apparently do this, it'll lead to one of two conclusions: (1) Women are inherently better than men and so deserve special treatment, or (2) women are less capable than men and so men need to give them a little extra help with certain things. Both of these are ridiculous, men and women are equal. It's little things like this that only serve to separate the sexes, that lead us to believe deep down that we're not all equal, that one sex is superior to the other.
Both the seat and the lid should be down
And the sink shouldn’t be left wet, and toothbrushes shouldn’t be out in the open, and shaving razors should always be hidden, so should lotions and deodorants
Honestly what I'm doing. I don't like it when people put the lid up because it will smell. So I always put both the seat and the lid down when I'm done
Yeah if they live with others if they live alone it doesn't matter unless they have visitors over
