Should the comics code be abolished?

Marvel and D.C. comics should just take away all restrictions on story content. Is there any reason they should continue censoring their own comics?

    I don't read comics so I know nothing about this, but according to Wikipedia, the comics code is defunct as of 2011...

      did you know that the guy running around in the black robe is spider-man? no you didn't because of Marvel's lawyers and copyright laws.

        You're refering to the "Scream" movies, is that correct? Spider-man or deadpool with a hologram belt is looking for copy-cat and she keeps shape-shifting to other girls to hide from him and all of this is never shown or explained to the audience?

      Would you believe they rejected my y2k virus story in the nineties because will smith mentioned it in one of his shitty k-mart cd's and they thought people would think it was written by will under a pseudonym?

    The comics code isn't law they can already do whatever they want. Take DCs Vertigo imprint for example.

    They don't want people jackin off to the characters. What's important is the story.

        Yeah but they're like graphic novels for adults who probably started reading superhero comics etc as a kid then moved on to them.
