Should there be a font or italics on the net for sarcasm?

There is so much sarcasm on the net, sometimes its hard differentiating between what is sincere and not. (especially if you're gullible or just take people to their word) So I think especially for those who deliberately set out to make a sarcastic comment, there should be an option there to make it clear to all. Do you agree?

Making it so easy to identify ruins the whole point of it.

Yeah, sure. That would be cool. Although, I do like using sarcasm when the person I'm being sarcastic to doesn't get it, but everyone else does. It amuses me very much. Also, if I saw a word in italics I'd think they were using it in the way I us *these*. To emphasise the word, that is.

It could be nice, but if applied on here I think that it would make things too complicated.

I used to use this on IIN:

    \s/

...to denote sarcasm for somebody who hadn't really experienced it. After a surprisingly short time, she completely understood when I was employing sarcasm and when I wasn't and I didn't need the symbol any more.

I tend to use a lot less sarcasm here then I do in real life (it's a natural way of talking to the English and I'll more often say the opposite of what I mean, than actually say what I mean). I found that on a lot on the internet, there are people who talk about "sarcastic" humour and the ironic thing for me is that they clearly haven't understood what sarcasm is.
