Silent gen are actually cool as old people

Old people have become much cooler in the past decade or so. This is largely because core and late Silent Generation (greaser, early hippies, and Korean War vets ) are seniors now.

Don’t get me wrong, I respect the Greatest Generation (the old people when I was young,) but they were puritanical, against technological change, and exemplified “get off my lawn” type of old people and just seemed cranky.

Silent Gen is fairly tech savvy, more energetic, and open to change, and far more empathetic. I like them.

    I like the silent gen more than boomers. Only met 2 people in my life that belonged to the greatest generation.

      I’m not a fan of core boomers (1950-1956.) Early and late Boomers are better.

    I think young people are empathetic to a fault. I dont think its only a generational thing a lot of that goes away when you get older. I feel I'm becoming more like a boomer because I've realized what boomers told me was actually true. Theyd say "dont play video games and sit on the computer too much" now I believe the games and computers have lead to a lot of mental illnesses and social anxiety with young people. They actually saw a lot of these problems we have today coming and warned us. But we believed they were just scared of change and technologically illiterate. The silent gen will warn the next ones and they wont listen either. Its the way of the world i reckon.

      Nah, I think elderly people in 2080 will be less grumpy and more accepting of new technology and ideas.
