I still do this at 22, I NEED my one pillow and a specific blanket in order to sleep comfortably lol
I don't know if it's normal at your age but I don't see what harm it would do.
Very normal! I slept with mine for years, and still have on occasion when I was having a rough night and it just felt better to. Otherwise, they are on a shelf above my bed. I think the only reason I don't do it as much anymore is that I have kitty cats who like to snuggle in my bed and my bed isn't very big!
I don't think that's weird at all.
Cuddling a plush, pillow, or person is the only way I can get to sleep! I have a large collection of plush toys, most of which I've had since childhood, and a fair amount of which are merchandise for various things lol. I think it's perfectly fine to find comfort in those types of things.
I have blanket i hold with my knees, it physically hurts if i dont sleep with it (not for emotional reasons)
I am 25 and I still sleep with the same terrycloth doll from when I was 2.
I never had "comfort objects" while growing up...
I've probably had stuffed toys when I was very young, but as far as I remember, most of my toys were vehicles, lego, etc...
Pointy, hard plastic/ metal stuff that has no place in bed.
Never got the idea of teddy bears. To me they are nothing but dust magnets.
I don't think there's any wrong with sleeping with a good, old teddy bear. I prefer sleeping with my cat, but I'm no stranger to the comfort of a good stuffed animal. I had about seven years in my thirties where I did not have a cat, or dog, and it was awful!
I used to have two coats that were legitimate comfort objects for my autism, but the 10 or so stuffed animals on my bed are just there because I have nowhere else to put them, they’ll get dusty in other places. I don’t snuggle them, but I do stroke the toy opossum when I wake up and feel like I’m about to go into a sleep paralysis episode. I used to be unable to sleep without my stuffed animal squirrel Chippy until I was like 13, he still lives on my bed.
I have a stuffed walrus in my bed, he mostly just sits there but gets a hug every now and then and I’m 24.
