So i like typewriters, so what?

I like typewriters. The weight, the smell, the *ding*. I like the seriousness of a typewriter. The imperfections make it exciting. Getting high sniffing the White-Out is a bonus, too.

I still use a typewriter at my business because I CAN. I'm the BOSS.

So I'm preparing a customer's paperwork and she blurts out "Oh my God, you're so old fashioned, using that relic!!"

I was so surprised by this lady's insult that I raised my eyebrows, which caused my monocle to fall off. I bent over to pick it up and split my breeches and one of my spatterdashes rolled down. How embarrassing!!

is it normal for people to be so rude, calling me old fashioned for using a typewriter?

I love typewriters, too, particularly the old ones. I don't have one, though, and as a writer, I use microsoft word because it's easier for me to deal with. I wish I could get a vintage typewriter, though, and have it as an antique.

I find it quite rude indeed. It would have been much more arousing and perhaps lead to steamy intercourse on your writing desk in your bureau, had she chosen the word anachronic. Who knows.

    • Balderdash!! I remove my powdered wig for 2 things, and cheap sex with a lowly fornicatress is NOT one of them.

*closes umbrella* Oh my, it's hot outside! My apologies, Sir. I was in your bureau earlier and simply cannot get something you said out of my mind.

Oh! Absolutely unrelated to fornication, Sir. I'm only curious. What is this "White-Out" thing you speak of? *with index finger makes a curl in the air and points to own temple to sign BOSS's hair needs slight arranging*

        • Well, m'lady, when my druggist was no longer able to provide me my opium tincture, I had to get resourceful. I'm not one to frequent those dingy, violent saloons so I alter my mind with various household chemicals.

What's this about my hair, now? I've just had this wig re-powdered at the haberdashery and I'll be miffed if the job's been botched.

Well, I guarantee, Sir, perhaps love is totally... zzzzzZzz...

Why, I believe I shall order that "White-Out" thingy for myself! It's absolutely delightful! Thank you kindly! Good morrow!

I do not know. I have noticed that too. Its odd seeing you in black you usually have a nice vibrant color like pink or red kind of like mine. The talk about what?

Damn, these new fantailed modern devices to The Heart She Holler's vulva. I've got a typewriter. While not the curvy typewriter of my dreams, it is still beautiful and has an unshakable aroma. I'll write that debut of mine on those polished plastic keys. Run my fingers along this fine piece of machinery, movements that will be accompanied by that irresistible *click-Ta-clack* and *ding*.

I think that typewriters are cool, too. I like antiques. If a typewriter could be as practical for me as a laptop, I would have a typewriter.

Since the world is evolving faster than we can blink, everyone expects one another to keep up with modern technology! I am not of those people! I am happen to love typewriters as well, but sadly, I don't have one....yet! Keep on typing using that magnificent machine, I hope it brings you much joy for years to come!

My good man, it would be a crime not to like such a fine piece of equipment. Computers can't hold a candle to the typewriter. After all, who couldn't enjoy the clack and click of the keys, the refreshing "ding" and that curvy metal body... Mmm... It seems that the memories of days long past are washing over me... Memories of me and my typewriter.
