I've noticed sometimes a girl will have something about her that is kind of not standard of a beautiful person. Like maybe her nose will be too pointy or too big. Or her eyes are too big. Or she will have kind of a stupid haircut. But sometimes those features make them attractive in their own little way. Or there will just be a kindness in her eyes or a mannerism or something that makes them seem really hot. Then other people will just say "yeah shes ok" and you think wtf ok!? Its hard to explain.

    I agree, when someone is too perfect looking they look boring. Most successful real models have something unusual about their appearance, whilst those dime-a-dozen Instagram “models” could all have rolled off the same factory conveyor belt. Averagely proportioned faces are forgettable.

    I don’t claim to be an expert on it but there’s a Japanese idea of beauty called Wabi Sabi which values imperfection so you’re not alone in noticing this.

      I love the wabi-sabi concept! Although I've never heard of it in the context of people. The Japanese come up with the best words for things we understand but have no specific word to describe, like tsundoku ♡

    People have different preferences. I have a specific facial shape that I'm attracted to that all of my friends simply find "okay". Haha.

    I feel the same way about both women and men.
    I never find myself attracted to someone who looks perfect.
