I had a post here, now turned new.
But i have been thinking what should i do when someone question my belief's, like say on god. I've been thinking, what would i say if someone said, "God is Dead?" Is it normal to think this stuff?
Perhaps it might lead you to question your belief in gawd when the vast majority of the people, such as those here on IIN, suggest your beliefs may not be as healthy and helpful as you have been led to believe.
The christian religions have been losing followers at a dramatic rate over the last decade or so. There must be some reason for this.
You will always be questioned on your beliefs no matter what they are especially if someone has a different set of beliefs than yourself. It could be for a number of reasons they could be curious or think you are just a complete idiot for believing what you do. Regardless of that it shouldn't change how you feel or what you think of your beliefs. Just keep doing you. Everyone has their own opinions and a lot of people become very judgmental when your beliefs/opinions are not the same as theirs.
Your faith is usualy a very personal thing.You could go the islam way n behead anyone who says allah is dead or you can go the christian way and let people talk as they want.At the end of the day come judgement day it will be just you and Him.
Dont waste your energies giving a fuck about what atheists,non-believers say.Let them talk.What is important is what You believe.In truth...if your steady in your faith/or if you know which side you are on it rly shouldnt bother you what people say.Cher' noogie
I don't know what to tell you. As an Atheist, I only question another's beliefs if the try to shove their beliefs down my throat first--or if they speak about non-believers as if they are anything less than human. If you don't do that, then you and I wouldn't have a problem.
As for those annoying combative Atheists, without being offensive, try to say something along the lines of, "I respect your beliefs and therefore, I have no interest debating this with anyone."
I think your feelings are normal, but your unfortunate life circumstances are not. I also think you deserve to be commended for the love, caring and responsibility you've shown your mother and sisters. You sound like a really good person who's just being stretched to her limit.
