Sometimes movies go overboard on the visual creativity to me

I lose interest FAST when scenes become TOO LONG. I'm not interested in CGI Wagnerian epic length scenes that show off the lack of ruthless editing by the creators. I watch and think cut cut cutttttt this in length puleezzzeee. The LOTR Hobbit franchise ring a bell here? Love the movies, but its too much. I got to watch it with a remote handy to speed things up. is it normal to find it annoying?

    • Good point. Either I restart a scene at an earlier chapter, or I say, "fuck it" by filling in the missed scene with my own imagination. Movies have a conventional standard time of around 1:45:00 to 2:00:00 hours and that's long enough.
