My god, those big hairy spiders, they're so gross. But what makes me puke every time is roaches, ugh! The fact that roaches are most likely to survive a nuclear holocaust freaks me the fuck out. I'm pretty sure most votes are going to be for the latter.

Spiders eat flies and keep the mosquito count down.
Roaches show up to eat your open food.
Therefore roaches are grosser. They show up when YOU are messy.
Spiders don't bother me but I will never forget the sound of standing on a roach when I was about 10 years old, and the sound of the crunch. Yuck!!!
i dislike both, but i can handle spiders to an extent. . . roaches just must die. i hate them. i dont see their purpose in being here except to piss people off .___.
I've never seen a roach outside of a zoo. They look like beetles and act like beetles.
Spiders give me the creeps. They paralyze their victims, then inject them with an enzyme to liquify the insides so that they can suck it all out. I think that's gross.
There are black widow spiders everywhere where I live. It was a bad year for them this year. They move differently, like their butts are too heavy for those long glossy legs.

I was sleeping on a cot for a charity/expedition in Africa and a giant fucking cockroach crawled on it. I freaked out.

I don't think spiders are perceived as gross so much as creepy. Roaches are definitely gross.
I'm usually not afraid of bugs or insects but roaches always scare the crap out of me..I don't know why but I hate them very much. =[
Spiders don't spread parasites and disease and come out of the sewer and roll around in the food you leave out lol. And spiders stay in their web usually. Idk... Maybe if I had had a spider infestation I'd feel a bit differently but I HATE cockroaches, they're disgusting and I swear to god they know I'm looking at them right before I squish them.
I let spiders climb onto my hand when I know theyre not poisonous or only if theyre little..but roaches is different story..Hate the way those things look,crawl,feel,smell,taste..ew

Roaches are gross but pretty harmless.

I never encountered a roach, but between these two- roach... and house centipede.
Gross cockroaches are by far the most disgusting. Scurrying through your cupboards on your food. Nasty! Spiders rule the world and I love them :)
