Stamping on the bonfire

Whenever we burn the garden rubbish Jane always spends ages making sure that the fire is completely out by stamping it down. Rather than wearing protective clothing, she wears a cropped top, heavy denim shorts and Timberland boots.
Is it normal to stamp knee high flames and flying embers wearing shorts?

    The thing about bonfires is after a long night of drinking next to one you can always just piss the flames out.

    Well Its not safe but she seems confident about it so I wouldn't worry about it, but do keep a fire extinguisher handy...you know just in case.

      Honestly, what you are suggesting, "keep a fire extinguisher handy" goes against Darwin's law of evolution. I'd think handing her a can of gasoline would be more beneficial for the human race.
