Still have no friends in college

I go to college in New York City and I am a sophomore. I didn't dorm last year but I made about 3 friends I always talked to in class and I hung out with one once outside of class, then the year ended and we lost contact (besides instagram). I started dorming this year and I thought I would have so many friends by now (2 months into my sophomore year now). But no one really talks to each other on my floor; no one keeps their doors open and i think this is mainly because we are not on a traditional rural campus so it's a bit different. After class everyday, I buy and lunch and bring it straight back into the room and hoping that my roommate is not there because she probably will think i'm a loner coming to the room everyday to eat my meals. Also me and my roommate hung out a lot (shopping & dinner dates) but we haven't gone for a while because she's 2 years older and realllyyy busy. So I basically live in my dorm room and only go out to go work at my new job 2x a week, go to the library (second place i go to the most) and a club meeting I have once a week. I have friends in the classroom but they never seem to want to go hang out outside of the classroom.. I feel like everyone has their own group of friends, literally EVERYONE except me. I am planning to transfer out and plan to go to a school with a more traditional campus vibe
