Talking to myself during important exams when answering questions?

Whenever I'm doing an important exams at the hall, if I wanted to remember something important to answer a question I tend to talk to myself as if I was alone even if I'm surrounded with people (even I tend to talk alone quite often). The thing is that whenever I do those things my brain tends to be active and retains info quickly - whenever I say that I remember I can write it down immediately and quickly after hearing those words coming out of my mouth. If I just sit and answer quietly like most of the students are, my brain wouldn't be so responding leaving my paper empty or somewhat partially written. I don't know if its normal, maybe the thing in mind is to separate myself from the rest of the students so that I couldn't disturb them as they don't disturb me leaving all of us to concentrate - maybe I could consider myself taking exams with special abilities?

And also is it normal to study while listening to music? Please help... :/

Maybe your voice kind of triggers a memory or thought process, more so than just a thought.
You must rely on your sense of hearing pretty heavily.

Personally, I try to talk to myself to see if my brain managed to soak any information when I wasn't listening. Also, listening to music is impossible for me, my brain either concentrates fully on the music, or the work..

Same for me, music only distracts me from concentrating but I have found it is very helpful when trying to find inspiration.
