You'll eventually weaken your teeth and smash them to pieces. No more grinding.

I recently developed a bothersome habit similar to this I've noticed that I press my tongue the the bottom of my to teeth it's gotten pretty bad I don't have any taste buds on the area that's pressed constantly and it's like I can't stop and it's slightly painful and super annoying that I can't stop it because it's my autopilot habit and have to actively stop myself

I know this guy who does it while he's sleeping... It's not very good for your teeth, because it makes your teeth more narrow. Try using a mouth guard, or visit your dentist (:

Yeah I really need to get a night guard, I suffer from anxiety from time to time and when I am stressed the grinding gets worse! A massage sounds pretty good I may look into that this week!:)

You need to find a way to release that tension. Get a massage.

A night guard will also help if you can afford it. They are expensive and insurance rarely covers them. I use to get horrible 3 day migraines from grinding my teeth. The night guard helped but graduating college worked even better :)

I use a night guard when I sleep. It's annoying and was a whopping $500 but I think that it is worth it overall if I can keep from damaging my teeth further or hurting my jaw. Certainly stress makes it worse, and perhaps eliminating your stress would help, but I think I would do it no matter what. Talk to a dentist.

Are you stressed? That could cause you to grit your teeth during the day. If you grind your teeth at night wear a night guard.
