Sounds like claustrophobia. There’s ways to desensitize yourself to it: https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/conditionsandtreatments/claustrophobia
I always feel uncomfortable in elevators. Also driving over bridges sucks.
i always have a flashlight on my person and whenever im gettin on or off an elevator (and nobodys around waitin or judgin me as a weirdo) i use it to check out the elevator shaft through the gap between it & the car
elevator mechanics are somea the highest paid blue collar workers in the country btw
maintenance work carried over to daily life
in the last ten years flashlights have undergone a huge revolution
when i started workin in the 90s maglights were the big thing and now theyre comically oversize and pathetically weak compared to modern led/lithium lights
Yeah, I think it might have something to do with how light kids are but I'm not 100%. I always felt kinda dizzy and floaty when I was kid in the elevator.
When I was a kid I would get in an elevator with with people in it, and ask them to jump up, and down. 🤓
Fairly normal; and its also normal to outgrow it... as you seem to have.
When I was a kid I was scared of them, I would think that I would be trapped forever and ever.
I know exactly what you mean. I still get that feeling in elevators. Can't stand the things. I get similar feelings on concrete bridges. They make ms insanley uncomfortable. Not scared of heights at all but man they fuck with me
