The correct way to view humanity and creation is thru the perspective of evolution, science, and logic. Religion tells you what you want to hear to distort your reasoning ability and thusly control you. is it normal that religion distorts reality.
If you're talking about "rules" cooked up by religious leaders that are designed to control the followers and extract money from them, then yeah, "religion" can distort reality. But if you're talking about the deeper routed teachings of true prophets, they are beginning to be proven valid by many of the latest scientific discoveries and theories.
Read up on quantum theory and it's implications. Thinking on reality, how the world/universe works, consciousness and other areas are strikingly similar to the cryptic teachings of Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, Malichi and others.
That's wishful thinking, pal. I'm afraid you are going to have to provide some references.
Heheh, I'm hesitant to waste my time on an intellectual conversation with someone who goes by "asstastics". Just google "quantum theory religion consciousness" or something like that and you'll get plenty to go on. I have a Ph.D. in theoretical physics and over 20 years experience in science, so might have enough background to make my post.
That's exactly what authoritarian Christian leaders like Billy Graham say. "Because I am qualified, authority assertion is the ultimate form of argumentation. Do not question my superiority." I cannot imagine someone with a Ph.D. making such a foolish statement.
I respect your opinion given your educational background (if true) but you do realize human ability to study theoretical physics and quantum physics and the mysteries surrounding those complicated subjects doesn't in any way mean a "supreme being" "created" it that way. At least in how those religions and their beliefs are defined.
I was born in a religious family and Yes no doubt religion distorts reality, But Theory of evolution is also not applicable to everything,
By the way I'm more concerned with my own evolution through hardships of life I don't give a fukc How this universe created and how its gonna end ..........
Christians, jews, muslims, etc need to be put into camps. Not death camps but just camps to keep them separated from the rest of society. They lose their rights to vote, run for congress and things like that.

Religion does not distort reality as this is impossible.
Religious belief is just nonsense and cannot be brought up in a rational discussion about science.
By the way. Evolution is now classed as FACT
The 'theory' part is a scientific term for scientists. Another example is the theory of gravity. Mind you the (scientific) theory of evolution has more proven facts than gravity. Pretty sure everyone agree with gravity though. How strange.
