The day my god died was when I learned to be free.

My god will never die because he never existed!!!

I was always skeptical of the religion I was raised with. Eventually I just realized I didn't actually believe any of it, and that was it. No big event or anything.

  • He never died. He's still in my life, guiding me and protecting me from all harm.

My God is dead when I realized one of my love ones died. God dead because I was too smart to know he doesn't exist.

I don't need to prove it because it's all around you. All knowing and powerful God wants to show u love instead he kill all sinners that they don't want to obey, just want to enjoy life.

( my love ones were killed)

Your title actually made me think of Nietzsche and "thus spoke Zarathustra" when he says "god is dead".

To answer your question I know the day and hour I stopped believing in the Christian god (I was 12). By the time I turned 17 I began to understand the eternal truth "I am god, thou art god, all that groks is god."

didnt happen in one day, just seeing how people (especially my father) did all kinds of different crap, then asked for forgiveness, walk with clean conscience and then did the crap again, its became something of a routine, like taking a shower after working all day in a dirty field.

  • It did.

But it's personal, and it would hurt the feelings of someone here.

I'd like to think my future spouse will be the closest thing I'll have to a God.

So when they die, that's when my God dies I suppose.

Only thing it reminded me about is that God is Dog spelled backwards...

So you are asking us if the title reminds us of bad days in our lives. I forgot about them all.

    Advantages of religion:
    Feeling of safety
    Moral values given authority
    Decreases the fear of death
Something to commit to and feel sure in

    Disadvantages of religion:
    decreased open mindedness
some religions have some poor morals
Religious leaders can use it for selfish means

idk, I think religion still has an important part on society but it should not get too powerful or the disadvantage regarding relgious leaders has too much of an effect. I personally do believe in God but I've been careful to detach that from this analysis.

    No.
I wasn't raised a Christian nor was I taught any Christian values, nor were any of my friends Christian or religious at all and I still always believed in a deity.

I'm a Christian NOW, but my God never died. I'm a pretty upbeat person and I always know things are going to get better. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't, but my life is comparatively much better than that of my less upbeat friends and I am much happier in my life than they are. People have tried to preach their logic to me of how there is no God and how my optimism-faith based or not-is misguided and naive. When I befriend those people, it often seems to be the case that they are not very happy individuals, despite all of the intelligence they claim to have on me.
