I find it kind of funny that in the past, they really hyped up and seemed to wish or predict that one day you'd have video calls and that everybody would LOVE it and want to use it all the time.

OK, yeah it's sort of a cool option to have and use SOMETIMES, but I don't know anyone who uses it very much and most people I know never use it, ever, at all. It seems like it's mostly used for sexual purposes and people who are overseas in the military.

Imagine how much it would suck if it was like how the movies portrayed it, where you couldn't make a phone call and not be seen! All of your friggin phone calls are facetime?? Geez, most of the time I'm a mess and wouldn't want anyone to see me. Or maybe I'm naked and my mom calls?

It's also hilarious that the generations that were so into this and looking forward to it being real are the people who use facetime the least! People like my parents, who don't even really use computers at all!

If only they could've predicted texting! It's funny that people prefer texting to talking, let alone video chatting! It really went the opposite way than they predicted!

    Seems to be a thing with a lot of these smartphone innovations, especially if we're talking about Apple here. Look how big a deal they're making over the fact that their new phone is *slightly* longer than their old models! Ermagerrrrd it's so novel and shiny, I want 10 of them!

    The way companies market their products anymore is getting ridiculous. It's honestly making me question if entertainment in the future isn't going to be reduced to the kinds of programs you read about in Farenheit 451

    I use FaceTime, my best friend we don't go to the same school and we talk to each other on the phone a lot so FaceTime is amazing :D

    It's because people like to keep their space. Talking is more intimate than facetime which is more intimate than talking on the phone which is more intimate than texting. That is why texting is so popular. You can look and feel like shit but all the other person gets to see is the words you send them. Facetime is pretty much just a shitty version of talking.

    Yeah, I hate FaceTime. I love texting. I don't even like talking on the phone. I'll just ignore them and try and ask them nicely to text me.
