No. Mental illness is very common and so is bullying and there are many ways to deal with it. However mental health care sucks pretty much everywhere, the waiting lines are years long and many doctors are arrogant unfortunately. I think it depends on how much help you need how much it affects you though.
In my town, 3 years ago, a young boy stabbed a woman to death and then went to the police to turn himself in only to finally recieve psychological help that he'd fought for and not been listened to. Messed up when it can get that bad.
I love the movie, it's very truthful and realistic in its portrayal of mental illness and how bad it can get when someone gets pushed too far granted its a bit over the top seeing as the Joker is a movie villain .Comment Hidden ( show )-

I havent seen it yet but I've heard good things. I dont like the joker guy. I really liked the joker from the black knight but he's dead. That was the goat joker. New joker looks kind of gay.

I thought the same thing until I watched the movie. Joaquin Phoenix does a really good job of portraying the Joker in a more down to earth way rather than the over the top portrayal of in the black knight, which makes a lot of sense considering it's the Joker's origin story.

I saw the trailer and I wasn't sufficiently impressed to go and see the movie. I might watch it if it ever makes it to cable. But the Joker movies have gone so far from what the original story behind the Joker was, that it is basically just another "IT" movie now.

A "villain" do not really exist. People do things because things need to be done. Some deserve what's coming for them. And even worse.

I wouldn’t say it’s acceptable, no. But I agree that someone’s more likely to become a “villain” or do bad things if you do have mental illness and are bullied. I mean anybody really has potential to do things like joker, it’s just that not everybody does.

The joker is an extreme on the side for insanity. At a certain point it's just easier to put a bullet in a guys brain.

Understandable maybe in some situations, but not acceptable. If someone commits a crime they should be punished. If the person did it because of a mental illness they should be put into a psychiatric hospital to receive treatment and/or make sure they aren't a danger to themselves or others.
