The key to getting in shape

I've noticed that consistency is the most important thing when it comes to working out. Not every workout has to be hulk mode. For example if you workout super hard 3 days a week you are gonna get less results than if you worked out light for 6 or 7 days a week.

Instead of doing 20 sets of curls twice a week do 3 sets everyday. Instead of jogging for 30 minutes at highspeeds and doing sprints just jog lightly for 20 minutes. The biggest key is consistency. Do it everyday!

I wish I had done this when I was younger. I thought every workout had to be butthole clincher. But it just made me show up to the gym less!

A game I play whenever you accept a task the guy is like the key to achievement is starting. One of the most accurate and useful things I've ever heard let alone from a video game. But like you said yea a long light workout is way better then benching 300 for 5 minimizes a couple times a week or whatever people do in gyms.

Thats why I like physical labor. You are constantly doing stuff moving lifting squatting etc its a great easy workout and you get paid top dollar at least in my country. It really amazes me that anyone would do anything else.

I use to do labor for a long time and it does help you stay very lean. But one thing I noticed is if I wanted to build muscle sometimes I was too overworked to do so.

Never desired to build muscle so im simply not able to comment on that but I can beilive that entirely. Labor can be quite exhausting and aspects 9f life can be neglected. But its worth it

I came around to this way of thinking post kids. I was no longer able to go and work out in a gym or go for a run, so I had to just try to be active in my day to day life.

Lots of walking, dancing, housework. It probably sounds a bit pathetic to the more hard core gym goers on here but it has honestly done more than I thought it would to keep me in shape. I have no idea how fast I can run a 10k because I haven't had time to train in years, but I know I'm a healthy weight and look great in my skinny jeans, and that's good enough for me.

    Eat reasonably healthy, exercise moderately.

    That’s it.

What I do is lift my max weight as many times as I can until I can't lift it anymore & then take 20lb's off & lift that as many times as I can until I can't lift that anymore. Rinse & repeat until I can't even lift the bar by itself, then ingest 200 grams of protein.

I agree with your first line but not the rest

Working out super hard 3 days a week, 45 minutes of high intensity exercise, is known to help some put on muscle mass. I guess it depends on your definition of getting in shape too.

Working out can be very individualistic though and different things work for different folks and goals. It seems you found what works for you though so kudos :-)

Ive always read that but I tend to put on lean muscle easier doing it more consistently but lighter. Maybe its just my genetics. Its easy for me to overtrain I guess
