    Black and white are nice, in my opinion. Brown and gray look nice too. Dullest? I don't know. I like all colors but neon colors are repulsive a bit.

    I feel like the shades (grey, white, black) have much more 'colour' and emotion to them then some colours.
    Ex. puke green, dull brown, dull mustard yellow.

    A grayish-brown with a hint of olive green is about the dullest color I could think of.

      That's why my house is full of colour! The living room is purple. The wall separating shared by the living room and kitchen is yellow. The other kitchen wall is bright green. The hall is yellow, the bathroom is bright blue and bright green. I have a room with my books and rabbit in it, and it's bright blue. My husband has a room with his things in it, and it's orange. The bedroom is red. There are accent walls all over in sort of a light, cool grey. It works really well, I think.

      White walls can work well too, though. My parents' house has all white walls, but they have art all over their walls.
