I've noticed that when talking to my pets, dogs respond best to" good boy!/ girl!" And cats particularly like" you're beautiful". Is it because dogs want our approval and cats want to be admired?
It's not what you say it's how you say it. I told me cat "I'm gonna chop you up into slices and send you to IIN! Would you like that? =3" (yes I said the face too) in the same way I'd talk to it while playing with it. It don't fuckin' know the difference, it's a cat.
