Small rodents. Not my greatest fear, but awful close. Mice, I find them really creepy but because they are so quiet when they dart from place to place I can kind of deal with seeing them. But rats? Yikes! Take a big city like New York aka the rat capital of the world! Went to school at NYU. So I lived near Chinatown. You alums out there know where I mean. You could put a saddle on those fucking sewer rats running around outside at night. These horrid looking creatures are relatively harmless unless they are cornered, I know. So is it normal to have this chilling fear of them?

    I love domesticated rats, but Iget your fear of wild ones. They can be aggressive, like any wild animal. I'd love some pet ratties, but I wouldn't want a wild rat in my house.

    There's a dump just outside my hometown and the residents nearby have been complaining about rats from the dump getting into their houses. There have been pictures in the local paper of rats the size of cats

    It's normal, plenty of people have a fear of rodents/insects.

    I love rodents though, and I honestly don't know why people are scared of them. That doesn't mean that I would pick up and cuddle a feral rat/mouse, as they can be aggressive and often carry disease. Tamed rats are actually very clean however, they groom themselves like a cat which is kinda cute.

    The Ice Man. After reading how some of his victims met their end in a cave filled with wild rats. Not so much of a rat person. Kinda put me right off them.

    yeah definitely. maybe that is one good reason to have a dog although idk if they can smell rats or if they'll attack them.
