This can't be good for my computer.

I have someone who lives with me who insists on putting dishes on my laptop and desktop keyboard in an effort to get me to "Clean them up." I keep telling them that this can't be good for the computer and to stop. I work full-time, 48hrs+ per week and no, putting dishes away when I'm leaving for work IN MY OWN ROOM is not at the top of my priority list until I get home at the very earliest. I want to know if this does any damage to the laptop. They usually aren't filled with water or coffee, but sometimes just crumbs from plates.

Sidenote: This room is my own room. They shouldn't even be coming in, in the first place. I am responsible for my own dishes, laundry, ect.

They're both dead, but thanks for asking. Mom died in 2007, dad 1994.

Oh my God, I am truly sorry! I'm glad you called me out on that one. I guess there are a lot of kids online living with their folks, whining about this or that. It was wrong of me to assume you were one of those people. I imagine it must be hard enough to have to work so much overtime then have to deal with some passive-aggressive, jerk roommate.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but back in college, which seems like a lifetime ago, I had a couple of roommates and suite mates. Some were pretty good and some were maybe not awful, but certainly annoying. When I got kicked out of the dorms, and ended up in my first apartment the last thing I wanted was another roommate or more roommates. I did have a best friend who had a key to my apartment though, but that was different of course. I also remember having my first live in boyfriend who ended up mooching off of me, and all I could think was I want this stupid guy gone. I couldn't stand looking at him take up space in my place. I was going to school and working at a local radio station, meanwhile he was just making up excuses, sitting around, doing nothing and making more excuses.

I really wish you well with your living situation, and once again I'm very sorry for my incorrect assumption.

You're normal for being annoyed by this. You're right, that doesn't sound good. Mister mister has the right idea, get a firm padlock.
