This generation

We make fun of them alot for being weak but when if you reall think about it they may turn out to be the generation that experiences the most hardships since the generation who grew up during WW2. They'll likely live through a bad recession and maybe even ww3

Most of this generation wouldn't survive a WW3. They can't even decide what gender they are.

only because the fringe rhetoric becoming mainstream is confusing them. Don't blame them or put it squarely on them.

With that said, I don't blame you for being frustrated with it.

They would refuse to go and want to know, what's in it for me. If they went they would give away their position and information by using their cell phones

Countries that don't have a mandatory military service requirement like USA would have to re-enact their draft. Of course that will cause a big problem with gender issues.

Left up to the liberals, the military forces around the world would be made up of, conservatives, anti vaxers, and any other undesirables they can think of. And they say slavery is bad, the liberals would make anyone who disagrees with them slaves in a heartbeat.

I can see the justification now. Well they believe Jesus will save them, they already have guns and know how to shoot, they are endangering all of us vaccinated people, they're Trump supporters, they don't believe in killing babies and are protective of women. Who better can we enslave (sorry), draft to fight and die for all of us! Lol.

    • I think these far left liberals are a minority. Atleast here in the US. They just scream the loudest. But if a bad recession hit then they would be forced to drop the gender hysteria because they would have real problems like not having food.

According to your president, and Congress, they think you need to go farther left to please the USA people.

As far as my post the first 2 paragraphs were talking about the younger generation in general world wide and a new major multi country war.

The last 2 paragraphs are more about how liberals especially those in leadership positions(like in the USA) would prepare, or try to prepare, for a military needed for a major war.

I agree about the recession and I don't think we are far from a world wide major recession. Recessions and depressions change a lot of views and the ways people think and live.

Personally I think a major long term electrical failure/outage would have as many, if not more deaths associated with it as the current pandemic.
So many things controlled by electronics, and people don't know how to live without air-conditioning or their electronics.

I'm not sure the current young generation (s) will ever really amount to much but I have great hope for their children. Children have a tendency to rebell against their parents ideas and go in an opposite or different direction. Let's just hope the world isn't destroyed before they get their chance.

That being said, I hear myself talking and I sound like my grandparents or parents and what they said in years gone by, about the youth behind them.

Maybe children and youth just seem like aliens once you hit your later years. Lol!

        • I know I feel like a boomer as well. I sound just like my parents. But I think this generation is the craziest generation in the last few hundred years atleast. You'd have to go back to the times where they burnt witches at the stake to find ppl so crazy.

Lets be honest the conservatives couldn't function on their own in reality. They hate change so much so that if you had an idea that doesn't line up with their Christian values they would turn in a quick second. As for money issues you had a chance with George w bush jr and trump both times ya failed hell with trump you somehow made things worse. For fuck sakes when bush came into office we had a surplus of money that we haven't seen in a long time which I might add was thanks to a democrat oof that stings doesn't it? Well lets get the pain train going when Republicans got control with bush jr we suddenly went from having a surplus of money to being in huge debt how the hell did that happen? No you wanna know the truth you Republicans need the Democrats you know why? Because Republicans can't think on their own much less function all they know how to do is fight but Democrats on the other hand actually think they use their brains but they lack power thats where the Republicans come in you need both parties to work together once you do that this country has no problems.

I thought this question was about, "this generation" and I didn't realize we were just talking about the USA.

I'll bite though, if you want to go 'in the past' about US politics. The last time you had an administration that didn't divide the country especially over domestic issues like race, guns, gender, was the 12 years of the Reagan administration (includes Bush Sr.).

Look it up Clinton was the start of bringing racial issues back up to the front burner, (it was a pretty calm issue from mid 70s to mid 90s) as well as gender and sexual issues. Guns and abortion have been hot push button issues for decades. Clinton was also first in recent years to use your military as a social experiment and to actually get the impeachment process back to an active status.

You bring up his budget surplus, a lot would say he did that by ignoring internation affairs, by making rules to grow the economy that the negitive effect wouldn't be felt for six to eight years, well after he left office.

The housing bubble was a direct result of his policies. I lived in the US when he made the statement 'everybody needs to be able to buy a home make it happen'. That brought all the creative financing tricks and started a housing boom that was to come crashing down in mid 2000s.

I agree it's nice and everybody needs a place to live, but my ex can't pay for a 6 pack of beer if it's more than three days after payday. Some people have no money sense nor can they read a contract and understand in year three the payment doubles or year five you have a balloon payment.

No, the current political disaster that the media and Socialist Democrats now want everybody to refer to, as a failed experiment in democracy., Was started down the path of destruction by the lefts political savior Mrs. Clinton and her husband.

Defend them all you want but believe me impeachment seldom was brought up in the 50 years prior. The threat was enough for Nixon to resign because back then, 'they' the politicians understood politics change hands and you may get your way this year but payback is a bitch.

The stuff some presidents did, from at least FDR on would have started the grid lock in politics a 100 years ago. If they did impeachment everytime the other party disagrees or didn't get their way.

You're right one can't live without the other it's a game they play with the people. Otherwise they wouldn't try to change things that 60 to 70 percent of the people don't agree with, and they would table the hot button issues for a minimum of ten years. Once addressed voted on and passed or defeated by 60+ percent. Maybe they could move on to things that are actually needed.

But no, career politicians want to argue the same points over and over at least every two years.

        • "the politicians understood politics change hands and you may get your way this year but payback is a bitch" this is so true. Colbert had an interview with Elizabeth Warren the other day where they actually entertained the idea of getting rid of the senate because of Manchen shooting down the build back better plan and they said "the senate slows down democracy". Do they not have any idea anymore that power changes hands and if the senate was gone they would also be negatively effected? Some of the decisions they want to make will come back and hurt them badly.

      • I think both republicans and democrats are a problem. Both spend too much money. They're all crooked. I disagree with you on Trump but I do think Bush was a very bad president. Trump, Biden, and Obama have spent way too much money. I am happy that Trump set a anti war narrative for conservatives now. Before Trump republicans seemed to be war mongerers. I do usually vote for republicans or dont vote because I see republicans as generally the lesser evil. Im pro capitalism I do well for myself financially and I dont want high taxes like europe

      Which war has historically corrected.

War is big buisness to all companies involved. Plus you reduce the amount of unemployed, as well as level the enemies production abilities, so they are reliant on other suppliers. Everyone wins in war. Except those who die, which is inevitable given the human experience.

      • We are in no shape to fight a WW3. They didnt even print money in WW2 they encouraged ppl to buy bonds and raised taxes. They even made it illegal for employers to raise wages to avoid inflation. The federal reserve has recently broken every fundamental rule and its about to all come crashing down. The only reason we havent already experienced a terrible recession is because they are printing money to delay it. This devalues the currency and now we can not print money for war because we are experiencing bad inflation already. Economically shit is about to hit the fan.

      • We arent in good shape for WW3. In one month of last year we printed more money than we have since the founding of our country. We didnt even print money in WW2, instead encouraged ppl to buy bonds and raised taxes to ridiculous levels. They even made it illegal to increase wages to avoid inflation. The federal reserve has broken every fundamental rule. We are in no shape to fight a war and our enemies know it. We may see a great depression happen again by 22 without a war.

To everyone saying the young people wouldn’t win or survive WWIII, think about it… Who would be physically fighting WWIII? It would be young people against young people. Logically, young people would still have to win.

The young ppl fighting it would be mostly conservatives from rural areas anyway. Currently the majority of the US armed forces is made up of southerners even though southerners are a minority in the US. The liberals are the college kids and would be officers responsible for making terrible orders the foot soldiers would have to follow.

Are conservatives from rural areas any less a part of “this generation” than liberals from urban areas?

How do liberals disproportionately work their way up through the military ranks over conservatives to become their commanding officers? (Sounds rather impressive!)

Also, the U.S. defines the “South” as including Washington D.C., Florida, Delaware and Maryland. I don’t think D.C. and most parts of those states are what most people think of when they think of the “South” and it’s culture and conservatism.

I was just bringing up the liberal part as a response to what they said about weak young people. Theyre referring to the woke crowd.

But my point was liberals are usually more educated. They go to college. And if you go to college you can join the military as an officer. If you only have highschool you have to join as enlisted. The educated people are the ones they want making decisions and now educated people are part of the woke crowd.

Also Southern maryland is quite southern culturally and have similar accents. Ppl dont realize North Florida is very southern its north is considered part of the "deep south". It borders Georgia so its really redneck.

So are most military officers liberals?

I realize parts of Maryland and Florida are culturally Southern, but so are parts of Ohio and Missouri and a few other states where the main bulk of the state and its population are outside Southern culture.
