This happened on tinder. and i don't know what to think of it

So I matched with a girl on Tinder, and her first response to me was "Ummm, hi? First of all, what do you look for in a relationship?" and after I responded to that, she said "Good. We are on the same page. Would you mind giving me your cell? I don't get notifications on here."

To be safe, I told her that I would, only if she was willing to give me hers back, and I asked if that was fine with her. She then blocked me almost immediately after I sent that.

Tell me. What was that about?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

She could be a scammer, or someone who's not willing to sacrifice her privacy despite having no problem asking others to sacrifice theirs. Either way I wouldn't worry about it.

She’s just a weird person on tinder, keep swiping and you’ll find plenty more of them. Agonising over why an odd stranger on the internet blocked you after a reasonable request is a waste of energy. Go have a cup of tea instead.

Dating sites are going to be full of odd people. The fact that she wouldn't give you her number after asking for yours makes her seem suspicious. It's best not to mull over it and move on.

Yeah, hella sketchy, no doubt. I'm glad OP didn't give out any personal information too. 😉

    A scammer or a fucktard.

No loss either way, you’ll find another.

Sounds really bad, probably a scammer or weirdo. And wouldn't you automatically get her number if she texted you?

    • I think it depends on which phone

  • Scammer or loon.

If it wasn’t for the pandemic I’d say get off that garbage - go out and meet women in the real world.

As soon as she said "ummm hi?" I woulda blocked her and moved to the next one.
