This is my first month of college and it sucks

I started at a college where I know no one. I have met people but I have yet to meet a group of friends that I can hang out with. Two of my suitmates dislike me because I got in disputes with them over leaving me when we were supposed to lookout for each other. SO they're friends with the people around us and I'm kind of not because whenever they're over those roommates are there and I get a feeling of being unwanted. I have 5 roommates and I'm not really friends with anyone which I guess is okay.
I still have hope because I'm working on meeting people outside of my dorm rather than in it. IS THIS NORMAL

    It'll get better, you'll make a ton of friends and remember all the great times you had forever!

    Elsewhere on campus there are people feeling exactly like yourself. Check out some campus listings for activities that interest you where you can meet like minded people.

    College is the best time of your life. Read all the posts by 40 year-olds who wish they could go back to when they were in college.
    The key to making college memorable is to have as many sexual encounters as possible. Multiple partners, three-somes, sex in public places. Just no gay please.

    Well, it's still early maybe you can switch dorm rooms? Dorm life can be awesome, but it can suck too. It was a little too awesome for my good when I got my first apartment.

    I had the opposite problem... my first year at uni was amazing because I had a lovely bunch of flatmates who soon became my best friends. But they were all exchange students and left for good, and I was so depressed that I wouldn't even try to meet new people, I spent months literally talking to nobody outside of class. Then I said f**k it and asked I girl I had met a long time before if she wanted to hang out. She introduced me to her friends. I hang out with them now.
