This old woman is scared of me for no reason!!

There's this really old bag that lives right down the road from me, and she's petrified of me. She has no reason to be, she had to have made it all up in her head. I've never even talked to this lady!!

If she sees me while she's slowly creeping from her house to her car, she will watch me, she will walk up her steps with her eyes on me until she gets inside, then she looks out her door and makes damn sure I'm still ALL the way over here, then finally locks herself in.

One time, I had someone over and we yelled and waved and called to another person to RUNNNNN!!!!! (they were coming towards us) and this poor old lady happened to be on her steps and she whips around and stares at us for a while, she didn't see the person we were yelling to and she thought we were talking to HER!! We weren't even looking right in her direction!! Stupid old hunchbacked lady, thinking the world revolves around you....

It got worse ever since the yelling incident.

Then one night I was up late and outside and I saw a strange car pulled off the road right by her house, and then I saw a young black guy skulk up to her steps, then retreated and left. I was thinking, you know what, this old lady thinks I'm this bad person and am scary, and she's so wrong, but for how much she makes me feel like a scumbag with what she does, if that guy had kicked in her door I would've been a little happy. I would go over there and handle the situation, but at first I'd say 'serves ya right, you judgemental old bitch'.

I bet she's the stingy type of old person and wouldn't even give me a reward for saving her old brittle ass. I'd have to trip down her steps and sue her to get anything for my heroics. Hassle!!

is it normal for random old fucks you don't even know to be petrified of you?

    This Is one those situations crazy situations. I've had neighbours to literally stop what they're doing to stare at me. There's allot of noise that comes out of my home, but there's still no excuse for that kind of behaviour. You could ask her why, but I don't think that's a good idea because she might end up calling the fuzz on you:/ Do you know anyone on your street? Maybe, you could see what they know.

    Maybe you're a noisy neighbor and she just hates you. You seem like a loud person. Old people like the quiet.

    Don't get so angry at her about the yelling incident. If you were just lazily getting out of your house and you heard a voice scream RUNNNNN!!!!! you'd flinch too.

    Quit thinking about it. You care way too much about this lady's opinion of you.

    You're some punk kid she doesn't know in a generation she doesn't understand and she's a paranoid, lonely, possibly funny in the head old lady. Cut her a break!

    I think she is just a scared person in general and maybe had some bad experience. She seems Leary of younger people.
    It's just her fobia not you specifically.

    It's just how old, cranky, mad people get down. They are tired and believe everyone is up to something. It's her against the world. Old people are just wierd sometimes.

    lol i live in an appartment cuz i was fired for taking to many days off anyways i was walking down the hall to get to my interview for a new job all the old ppl where staring at me and one of em had a rifle (for protection i guess) and was aiming at me telling me that i better stop braking into the apartment room and i explained that i lived there and i was off to my job interview he just shot at my foot and i was just screaming (im in hospital right now) so this old guy told the cops i was braking into his freinds appartment room and theye told him that she died a few months ago so this old guy still thinks im evil and he comes to the hospital every day to tell me to get out of the room but i need to live somwhere!

    I don't think you should let it worry you. If she wants to assume things about you, like you're a bad guy or whatever. Just let her. A lot of elderly people are like this. Plus, I think they get more scared and paranoid as they age.

    If it helps, are you a new neighbor or is she a new neighbor? Maybe you can introduce yourself and see how she is. And if its a rural area/road, there is a good chance she probably thinks you're that other dude that was creeping by her door. But I don't think you should let it bother you.

    You never know she may have been assaulted by a young person and is paranoid about all young people. The fact that you call her an old bag suggests to e that you dont have much respect for the elderly and if you can see her looking at you means you are looking at her as well so just ignore the old fossil

    Yup. Old people often give me a look as if I partake in scumbaggery. I do not! But then there's the ones that are actually cool and can look past my awesomeness and see that I'm a good person. Silly prunes.
