The internet in general is kinda sucky right now. Flash is gone, more games are pay to play/win, everything that is slightly NSFW gets scrutinized, BUY XCOIN NOW!, overt saturation of mediocre social media trends, not to mention the fact that shit has hit the fan soo many times since 2013 that things on this site dont phase us anymore. Trolls arent even trying.

I think it is a combination of long time users being shadow banned (most of you won't see my opinions) and just a change in culture.
So many people are inarticulate and angry and tend to just create accounts to troll new question askers. Also, if you ask, "is it normal" to alexa or siri, or google, it is never prompted to here.
What you have is a bunch of young, dumb people pushing out the old talent, and any new people that would stay if they heard decent responses.

Yeah it’s pretty bad. I get super busy with work during the holidays so I wasn’t here at all for a month, finally came back about a week ago when I had some down time and boy did I not miss it at all. The people who turn every topic into an opportunity to quote something they heard on Fox News or Facebook just suck the fun out of everything, and that’s becoming an increasingly larger percentage of people by the day. I have no idea why I even came back today.

This is extremely true. I was a freshman in high school in “I’m school suspension”, on the school computer passing time and happened to stumble across it. It was incredible back then. Laughed my ass off. But like 7 years ago or however long, the all time most popular are the same. And there’s no new people. I get on when I remember it exists.

Yeah man, the not being able to post thing is shit. The guy who runs it checks really sparingly so if you post something then it won't get vetted for ages if you're shadow banned, and I've talked to a lot of people who are shadow banned. I wish he would just unban us all.

The discord was originally made for member chat users. There's only like 4-6 people from IIN who use the discord on a daily basis (feel free to check it out again), and of those only 2 or 3 use IIN regularly anymore. So what "large percentage of active users" are you referring to?
