More companies are starting to make their own headsets now, and prices are slowly dropping down to purchasable amounts. We may finally be approaching .hack!
In my opinion, I think it could be dangerous. Some people might put it on and never take it off. Like me.

theres quite a few games id love to play in 3d with head trackin
the softwares not quite there yet but give the ole oculus rift nother year or two to git shit sorted out and itll be a fuckin monster
I think there are already enough people out there who spend way too much of their life behind a screen. Soon it's going to be even more realistic and intense?
Plant them on shelves in a huge warehouse with their VR and hook them up to feeding and excrement tubes.

Coincidentally just two days ago a friend told me about Steam VR... that just recently launched and is the only other VR besides oculus rift (?)
I'm looking forward to it for sure. I'm also waiting for the day someone creates a VR movie where the viewer has a "fly on the wall" perspective and is a muted character. VR, along with something like the omni treadmill will make for a terrific horror game me thinks.
