Frankly, I tend to lose myself in the person and for me, it seems too complicated and a waste of time to find someone that is willing to make me grow the way i want. i know no one likes hearing this, not even me. i hate how love hurts you and that's all i want to do to love, hurt it. I want to be a great biologist (currently, in college) alone for the rest of my life.
Whenever you meet the opposite sex, start laughing like Popeye the sailor and start talking about how many pokemons you've caught in your town. Or start playing world of warcraft religiously and if you have a drivers license, buy a Fiat Multipla...
You will be forever alone. Actually, if you buy that Fiat, you will never have a social life ever again XD
The reason you lose yourself is because you don't know your personality probably. Sounds like you have a tendency to get co-dependent honestly.
That's why you need to love yourself before dating others, and have your own life with your own hobbies. If you do you cannot lose yourself.
It's not anyone else's fault if you do that but your own. If you want to grow you'll do that single or not, no partner would stop you from that unless they are also very clingy and co-dependent and need you to give all your attention to them. If you work on yourself you won't attract those types of people anymore though so staying single would probably be a good idea for now, but unless you follow your dreams and make a life for yourself you'll never change the type of partners you meet.
Staying single is easy, especially when you have a fulfilling life. If you struggle with being happy single then that again shows you don't have a fulfilling life which explains your problem with relationships.
Pursue your biology-dream and find some good hobbies and take it from there.
Just caues you don’t have a romantic relationship with someone don’t mean you can’t have a different relationship with them
Just don't even bother dating or looking for love as I do. I find it easy because I'm just not interested.
Surround yourself with friends, lonely people seem to crave romance a lot more.
Well "love" is not supposed to change you. they are supposed to like you for who you are. Dating is not you changing someone or someone changing you.
