To be infatuated with a fictional character?

I am obsessed with my own book series! I haven't even put it to paper yet, but I know exactly what I want to do with it, and in the series there is a lustful, evil sorcerer named Kedder. He is bi-sexual, powerful, sadistic, cannibal, blood-lusting and over all SEDUCTIVE! His main power is to seduce. I am completely obsessed with him. I sometimes like to imagine that he were real, and what it would be like if I met him. And if this makes any sense at all, I even make fanfictions out of my own story. Has anyone else experienced this before?

    This is what distinguishes a good author from a great one....
    A good one, is one that just rights for the sake of making a living, whereas a great author is one that actually starts to beleive, feel, and live in the realm that they write about...

    Yesss you are more then normal, and probably writing a bestseller;)

    Well, I have read novels before where I completely damned myself for not knowing anyone like the main character. For example, I read a book called "The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Gothgirl," and by the end of the novel I wished that I was fanboy.

    in a book i've written there is a shapeshifting black dragon named Pique; he was the bass player in Khronic Khonstipation, he is sarcastic, believes he's god's gift to women and that they all fancy him. Those marked w/ his logo must respond to him, in all ways, and when he leaves they pine for him.

    My advice is to write the damn thing. If your story is that powerful, you'll have no trouble becoming a successful author.
