To blush when an anime or cartoon character blushes
This only happens when the characters I love, blush. It doesn't happen every time though. Anyone have like a legit, educated psychological reasoning. Just curious.

I can't see anything abnormal with this. Everybody here freaking out like: "YOU CRAZY ANIME LOVER", but they do the exact same thing when someone cries or blushes in movies. It's perfectly normal and it does not say anything about the amount of anime you watch.
Have you ever heard someone call yawning 'contagious'?
Think of it like this... If yawning when someone else yawns is a way of relating to people we care about, a way of unconsciously letting them know that we know how they are feeling, then wouldn't blushing also be the same? The more empathetic you are, the more likely you are to catch second-hand embarrassment from your friend (or in this case, an anime character), when they feel embarrassed.
It is part of mirroring behavior. You are indicating empathy with another individual.
P.S I'm not talking about characters from hentai, yaoi, yuri or anthying R-rated.
Dude this is so fucking gay :''''), don't get me wrong I love anime, but this be some homo shit
I mean why would I be into it? I will at least say people who are into it are relatively polite.
Agreed! I go to a convention every year and those people are the kindest! They will almost literally give you the shirt off thier back if you need it
oh 🌹 I didn't mean it that way. i have only watched one anime yet & it seems fine to me & not at all dorky.
I hope you are not basing all that on watching some hentai or echi shit.
Ok maybe you are talking about me but just tell me one thing (& please be honest),have you ever watched it?
coz idk whenever i see your comments about this stuff,i just have this feeling in my gut that it's just your preconceptions.
I love this!!you anime guys always get so defensive when somebody talk shit about it. don't worry bro, currently i am watching naruto & it's awesome.

Because they have very good morals behind each story! The Japanese are truly passionate people and all their morals show through these works of art. Unlike western shows and movies, where they usually lack detail and emotion, the majority of these animations are just as good as the books if not better.
Compared to most overly dramatic western TV shows, the protagonists of these animations or anime are usually very relatable (shy, socially awkward, misunderstood, depression, etc..) as that is the author's goal; to make the reader feel a deeper connection to the character.
There is also not a oversaturated use of comedy in these shows, which in turn make it more realistic although it is animated and sometimes even with superpowers.
It is for this reason that I believe the viewers of these Japanese animations tend to be relatively polite.
Thanks
