To never do proper work in college and still be passing?

I never put much effort in what I do in college. I do some assignments the day before they are due. I give up when I get stuck and hand in a half-finished assignment. I purposely fail certain modules so I can concentrate on the more difficult ones, and repeat the easier ones over the summer, when it suits me better. Yet I always passed. Haven't failed a year yet. I've even been congratulated on my high grades (despite them varying between 40% and 80% massively. Most closer to 40% than 80%).
I hear many people saying how college is so difficult and you really got to work for it, yet here I am. Dwaddling away, working, but minimally. Is it normal or do most people find college really tough?

    It depends on what you study... Some studies are way harder than others...

    i pass with minimal effort, and if i actually try, i get the same grade as i would if i didnt try. things seem to go my way. if i didnt study for a quiz, the teacher is late that day. if an assignment is due, the teacher reassigns it to another day. i did terrible in one class cause the teacher used his own opinion to teach us, and forced it upon rebelious me. i got the minimal passing grade. i got all c's, barely passing, and i dont know another way to live.

    same! it's normal. I've been like that my whole life. only recently I've started failing tests and exams but it's my last year of college and I still can't be bothered to study :/

    Congrats! You're one of the lucky ones!

    me, i dont review my notes even i have an exam tom. and still i got 50% grade... when i do skimming, i'll get 60-70%; scanning for 75% and if i seriously review those my grades goes 80-95%... just sharing! :p

    You're lucky that it works out for you. Some people work extremely hard and sometimes they still don't do very well.
