To think high schools should be required to have tutors available?

An idea that would be beneficial to all in high school I think would be great to have the highest achieving students (maybe ten or twenty depending on school size) could volunteer in order to help students in need when teachers are not available. I think this would be an inexpensive method for education to extend assistance to students. You are welcome to input your reasons via comments as always.

High school isn't that difficult if a student has a learning disability they should be in a special class that caters to there need.

I think that if the tutors were to get something in return for the tutoring, such as credits toward graduation, it might be a good idea. But good luck getting something for nothing in this world. It doesn't generally work this way.

    • My suggestion for getting something in return would be scholarship money toward the college for their choice. This would be a suggestion, also having it on the resume and also can be used for work experience. In other words, it is NOT something for nothing as it may be looked at. Colleges offer this a lot.

Work study is a thing. College applications also look better with such extracurriculars.

How many people are gonna volunteer for that?

A lot do. Either straight up volunteer, work study and/or to pad their college applications.

Maybe back in the day. Have you seen teens today?

Nah, I just have a 20 year old son, a daughter in middle school and one in elementary school. I have a 28 year old brother who was a tutor in high school and college.

Exceptions can always be made. I'm talking about the average kid these days. Your brother is my age and things have changed in the past 10 years.
