To touch something then have to touch the other side of it, iin?

Everytime I touch a object I have to touch the otherside of it or I will start to think something bad is going to happen. Am I weird???

i do things like this too. I consider it to be mild OCD. I think most people are OCD to some degree. I do things like, if i rub my tongue on one side of my cheek or teeth, then I have to do the other side too. I also race against things. For example if Im putting my shoes on I have to have them on before an advert on tv finishes. Or if im making toast, then the toast has to pop before the clock hits the next minute. Things like that. I feel that something bad will happen if I dont get it right

I know a lot of people are saying OCD, and it does sort of sound like it... But could it be that it's strong superstition? I'm superstitious too like that, sometimes. Not to that degree or anything, but I do throw salt over my shoulder once in a while.

Sounds just like OCD to me, especially since you mentioned dreading something bad if you didn't do it right. Is it interfering with your day to day life? If so, you might want to see a specialist.

OCD actually has many facets and different people experience different symptoms. As long as it doesn't interfere with your daily activities I wouldn't stress too much.

I've heard that Tourette's Syndrome can cause someone to make compulsive physical contact.

Um, it may be OCD as this is usually one if the symptoms of OCD. I guess as long as it doesn't control your life, then you're fine.
