Trailer full of pets!

I was sitting on the bus the other day when I heard these two ladies talking about their pets and how much they love them. One lady said she actually has 25 small dogs and 5 cats. I think she also has 2 horses and a goat. The dogs and cats ALL live inside with her in a little trailer. Sure this can't be normal!

P.S. She claims she takes really good care of the pets, and they are not neglected in any form.

    Animal hoarders usually think that they are taking "good care" of "all" their pets but in reality they are just delusional.

    If you know where she lives, you should report this to someone. No matter how hard she tries to take care of them, there's no way an old lady living in a trailer can afford to adequately care for that many animals. In those crowded conditions, it's unhealthy, period. This is a condition called hoarding and people often think they are doing these animals a favor and that they are properly cared for compared to how they would be if they lived with someone else. But this is very rarely the case.

    If you report her, she won't get in any trouble, but someone will hopefully go to her home and investigate the conditions these animals are living in. She would probably be forced to give up some to other homes to make it a more healthy situation.

      She's actually married, and there's two of them "working" and looking after the pets. I guess they've been reported a few times, but nothing has become of it. Apparently it's not so bad inside. Still, I think it's a little crazy myself, and I really don't know how they get "proper" care.

        Oh, for some reason I thought I read "old lady." I probably just assumed! My bad :) Still.....it is crazy and I don't see how they can be properly cared for either. That's just unhealthy and nasty.

    TLC and Animal Planet both have a series about animal hoarding. You should encourage them to apply so they can at least earn some extra money to help care for their huge family! I have 3 dogs, and that's costing me plenty of time and money, I can't imagine 30+ pets! You can tell those people have a big heart though.

    Well, I thought it was illegal to have that many pets in one household. But if nothing has come of the report, then it's fine i suppose. I love animals and would love to have that many, i just wouldnt want the others do think i disliked them by getting bored of one, so getting another, you know what i mean? I have one dog. One cat. And one rabbit. That's it for now.
