It's one of the top places I want to go. Some amazing cities [and nature], interesting culture, and western currency can buy a whole lot there.
I'm religious and they banned religion. So.
I have so many things made in China, and watched so many martial art movies, it's lost the allure to me. Especially when China Mall opened up next door.
I’ve only been once, but it was a really positive experience. I went to Shanghai and also took the train to check out some historical points in villages south of there. The people were very friendly, although a far lower percent speak English than in most other countries I’ve visited. The food is a delicious adventure. And much of their booze is high test, so watch out! I was surprised by the wide spread level of wealth and affluence (towering shiny skyscrapers, high end stores, high dollar cars all over, people dressed to the nines, etc.), especially in Shanghai. Only downside was the air pollution is visible and really bad.
