Trump, bernie sanders, 2020

Yes, I used the keywords as the question.

I can't believe over 60% to 70% of you people here are even considering voting for Donald Trump again.

The only good thing about him is Alec Baldwin's impression of him on SNL (and also the drag queen's who won Rupaul's Drag Race 1st UK season).

I haven't lived in the States (America is NOT a country!!!) since 2005 and haven't bothered to request an absentee ballot in the meantime.

This time I definitely will, though. I refuse to not participate.

How in the world you people believe Trump is a good world ruler is beyond me! I'm actually embarrassed by that - like the German would say, frendschämen.

Bring it on, MAGA people!

I am ashamed that I once called myself a Republican. Many of my once Republican friends feel the same way. The few that don’t are no longer my friends. The ones that haven’t woke up to the horror that is the GOP are brainwashed by Fox and by their church. It’s horrifying to see. But not as horrifying as seeing a third of the country applaud as a fascist, racist, greedy, mob boss dismantles our democracy. The choice in 2020 is the easiest choice Americans have ever had in a presidential election. Vote American (i.e., ANYONE but Trump). And actually not just anyone, but whomever the democratic nominee ends up being. A vote for a third party candidate is a vote for Trump and a vote against American ideals.
The GOP is the enemy of the state. If you don’t see that, you are lost. Stop watching fake news and wake up.

What the hell are you talking about? Yeah trump is far away from the establishment republicans but isnt that the reason we voted him in the first place?

So far the economy is good and enemy countries are actually fearing america again (fear Is a good diplomatic tool)

Most trump supporters also dislike fox as well. Most of us just cut out news in general because we perfer to see the results first hand rather than let some snoody New York reporter baby feed us.

Dont know what your voting block is but I'm libertarian and so far trump has been fair with the freedom crowd so he gets my vote. Also lower taxes for all so it's a win win in my book. Just because you make less than Bill Gates doesnt mean you have to go green with envy. Work your way into good economic sustainability.

I am libertarian. Just a moderate one. Pure libertarians want laze fair capitalism and I dont want that. Corporations making the rules. I perfer the current system of having the goverment play referee if a corporation is growing too powerful. Taxes are important but we need to cut back on spending. Military is important so get better contracting deals.

Trumps going to win 2020... probably.

The impeachment was a complete failure showing it was yet again another witch hunt to get the orange man. Even though the economy has been chugging along well. Because that's what the average joe wants.

Trust in the media is at an all time low. Since the media had already come out with news saying that trump spent his Thanksgiving golfing even though he did a surprise thanksgiving to the troops. That's how detached from doing news the news is.

Trump holds the incumbent advantage so any opposing faction is going to have to come up with a remarkable reason to out trump. The economy isnt bad and people want more of the same. If the economy was bad things would be different but currently things are just staying its course.

Even if it was a quid pro quo countries on countries are different then people on people. America can choose who they can give aid to and Ukraine getting a new president it makes sense to hold aid until we can figure out if the president of Ukraine has Americas friendship in mind. That being said its profoundly apparent that Biden had a conflict of intrest regarding burisma and his son. Just because hes running against you that doesnt take away that the entire situation was fishy. Plus its biden we are talking about. Trump is all ego he believes that he wouldn't need any extra ammunition against a weak opponent. But if there was corruption from a past era it's in every presidents best intrest to investigate it.

In conclusion we MAGA people have our ears to the ground and are actually listening to what the majority of people want. Anyone with an understanding of american culture respects the fact that americans want low taxes and high grade freedom. Something that the other side has yet to come up with that's palatable to the average joe.

Not only that we want to be able to get a job that requires minimal skill without needing two years of experience, a college degree and a worthless certificate saying we are smart enough to flip burgers at McDonalds. Which is the state we were in for a long time. While the news stated things were great and companies couldn't find enough canidates despite apparently refusing to hire anyone.

The democrats know that if they continue into the senate that's when things get way worse for the senators that a running for president not to mention now they are playing by the republican majority.

That means they can call in both joe biden and hunter biden in for questioning under oath. Something that would look incredibly bad for his campaign. All while all officials attending cant speak up physically to ask questions. Not to mention Adam Schiff will be open on how he acquired and talked to the whistleblower before announcing the whistleblowing.

And since it's the republican majority in the Senate a vote for impeachment is incredibly low.

Thing is the majority of people don't want republicans in power just like the majority of people don't want democrats.

Your not wrong trump is getting in 2020 anybody could see that and it's only going to make the dems more radical at some point they will get back in and it will create more problems because the republicans will get more radical.

It will go back and forth until the everyone is so enraged that it breaks the country.

I don't want that but sadly many people are ok with the chaos.

Republicans dont have to be more radical that's the beauty of a two party system. If the left leans more far left they lose their chunk of moderates and independents for them to be absorbed by the far more moderate Republican party. Republicans are literally saying the same things we have always been saying for the last 20 years! The left wanted a wall 10 years ago but only now its described as a far right topic.

        • TheBlindInquisitor

That's not a good thing because it just makes the republicans big headed wanting to push their conservative agenda and becoming more radical.

Your not wrong about the democrats but the republicans suffer from the same problem and it will get worse.

I can see any beauty in a system that creates chaos.

As I said in a earlier post I see that liberals and conservatives have things that I can get behind.

But the democrats and republicans only want one way their way which alienates parts of the country.

Republicans don't give a crap about those who don't hold conservative values and democrats don't care about those who aren't liberal.

That fact that this nation allowed this mindset to last so long says a lot it's become a sickness that people are ok with.

Whata the conservitive agenda perhaps I'm too close to notice but it seems like we've been pretty consistent on what we want. The left wanted a wall when obama was in. The left also hated gay marriage the same time the right was hating on it. Its unclear what is the right agenda these days because it seems that a it is is keeping society stable so it can change over time not by legislation.

            • TheBlindInquisitor

First let me say I'm not taking sides because both sides lie about the other your kinda doing that now.

You agree that there is a liberal agenda yes? Also source on the left hating gays lay I checked it was conservatives who won't shut the hell up about traditional marriage(if your a citizen you have the right to get married so consertives just need to give it a rest)? And no commies don't count because most left leaning Americans aren't communists if you think that then all right wingers are nazis by your logic.

There is a conservative agenda polticans every single one of them has an agenda.

Conservatives like liberals are very open with what they want and that is conservative values.

I'm not just talking about immigration as I said in a post that I'm for strict immigration so please stop bring up things related to it hell im more stricter then trump or any other president I don't want mass immigration from anywhere that even includes other first world nations if those nations are so nice they can stay there.

What I'm referring to is the conservative narratives I watch many conservative outlets and they all make their point clear.

They want things to be more conservative they are literally like the liberals who want to make things more liberal.

That's why I have issues with both of them conservatives hate anything that is left leaning and liberals hate most good things right leaning(like gun rights that I'm 100% for and strict immigration and certain economic reforms).

I'll say that for the most part conservative economics are ok but socially they suck.

Liberals are ok socially but they suck at economics.

Both are hellbent on dominating the narrative and they don't care how much damage they are causing.

Why wouldn't we vote for Trump again? Because the media says mean things about him? He's delivered on everything. The numbers dont lie. The economy and stock markets are setting records, soldiers in the military got a raise, taxes are less, we have better trade deals now, we are throwing illegals out, prison reform, we didnt get all those isis refugees that Hillary wanted so bad. etc etc. I could go on all day. People need someone that actually legislates not someone that preaches to the masses everyday with "RACISM BAD". You have to have good policies to be president. You cant get in office by just saying "racism bad" because believe it or not... Everyone know racism bad!

It amazes me that democrats havent figured this out yet. They havent learned from 2020. Theres no way they're gonna win 2020.

The democrats won't change their course and the republicans are no different.

As for the military it's clear that the lean more republican in terms of votes which is also a problem.

The fact that the military is political I'd have the same issue of the leaned democrat.

The Republican Party tends to kiss ass really good when it comes to the military so it's clear that the military would like them.

If the democrats kissed as it would be the same thing.

I personally feel that the military shouldn't be involved with politics at all but the clearly are.

Both have some good points but the liberals are getting more radical and conservatives are getting high off the power that they have so they aren't far behind.

I get what your saying but it means nothing to me it's clear that the college electrical dictates who gets it that has always been the case.

I watch the electrial to see who wins it was clear that bush Obama and trump were going to win because they are basically picked for us.

Worst part is we have two parties that are similar but have divided the nation so much it's almost a death sentence if you mention your liberal or conservative.

I would want all citizens to be united I don't care what race sexual orientation or religion I'm for strict immigration reform but I also what church and state to stay seperate I'm pro life/pro choice hell Don't give a shit what a woman dose with her body so long as it's still ethical I am for a strong military but I also feel that it should be used for national defense as well as helping out other nations when it's really needed I love weed and want it legalized I'm for criminal justice reform but I'm also for the death penalty.

The list is long but you get the point.

I can agree with what both parties want to push I didn't think Obama was 100% bad I don't even think trump is 100% bad hell I'd even take Bernie because he has some good ideas.

But it would make nobody happy if either side wins and for some reason people are ok with that I'm not and it pisses me off that people are ok with it.

I'm extremely privileged and have absolutely no complaints about my life, but thousands of people are living in dire need in "America - the Land of Opportunity" (let's be real, that ship has sailed, the American dream is dead).

I don't get why you would be happy with the dems becoming radical the republicans won't have control forever and it won't be good when the dems get back in.

I agree about the partisanism killing the nation, but I never claimed the radicalism of the democrats was a good thing. In fact it is the opposite. It's an awful thing. Ideology is more important than "unifying the people." No one will ever unify the people of America. It is within the system of government created by the Constitution itself that prevents such a thing from happening. America will always consist of so many ideas that no set of beliefs can unify the people. You just have to hope that the person with the ideals most similar to yours will win.

I always thought the right wingers and tea party people were crazy (still do). But after Trump got elected the hatred for the guy took over the media and the democrats and they showed they wouldn't be outdone on the crazy front.

I hope Trump wins in 2020 just so I can see Wolf Blitzer say FUCK on air and watch the rest of CNN poop themselves.

As I said, I'm not a Trump fan but if you can't see that the media is biased and agenda driven you need to either open your eyes or be honest with yourself. Don't let your hatred for Trump blind you from reality.

He'll make a comment, and the media and the democrats salivate to make it out to be something it's not. It's like two halves of the same shitty coin. I've been voting democrat from Bill Clinton up to and including Hillary Clinton but the party has changed and not for the better.

When did I say I hated him? I dont know the guy how can I hate him. Nothing he says has to be twisted to be ridiculous though. Some if not most media is biased for sure but the weirdos defending trump in spite of everything are far more biased than any "liberal" media

Some of the left are now calling Obama a Republican. Oh have the old times have passed by.

Democrats are acting like a rebellious child always being against their parents.

Walls? Well now that you want them they must be for a racist purpose.

Gay marriage? We have always supported gay marriage since the 1900s. That video of obama dissing gay marriage in 2007 is doctored.

I seriously can't believe someone would even consider voting for Sanders. Yeah Trump's got his things, no president is utterly perfect, but even though media will tell you he's the devil (and I'm not saying he's God), economy is good, our foreign affairs are good (America's respected and even feared internationally, and yes, America IS a country and a most beautiful one), and Trump's done very good things in spite of his failures. He's done more than Obama in his two terms. And, most importantly, even though Bernie would never accomplish half the stuff he proposes as America wouldn't let him, you can't begin to realize the harm a socialist president would do to this country. It's as easy as checking where have Bernie's plans worked in the world... you'll be finished pretty soon. And moreover, what the fuck are you doing wanting to vote in a country you don't live in??? IT IS ABSOLUTELY NONE OF YOUR BUSSINESS AND YOU SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO.
PD: We're building the wall!!! (Which good old boy Obama started)

    • "It's as easy as checking where have Bernie's plans worked in the world..." if YOU do it then you'll see it all ends up in right wing coups.

So you're saying an American citizen shouldn't vote then? Nor be concerned about the people living in wretched conditions in the United States? How patriotic of you.

America is a fuckin' continent - comprised of North, Central and South.

Goddamit you shouldn't vote. You are an American citizen? Then have the smallest respct and decency of keeping your passport in the closet and let those who will suffer the consequences of their vote, whatever it might be, be the ones to decide. You're in another country! Why vote somewhere else? That's not at all the spirit of democracy! And this is coming from someone who strongly disagrees with the American electoral system. Even though I would've voted for Trump, I didn't dislike Hillary, if we had a good system Hillary would and should be president as she did win the popular vote, which is the only thing that fucking matters in a democracy! But with Hillary it was different, she was a moderate liberal, but not at all a socialist. She believes in capitalism as the only system that can lead humanity to well-being. But Bernie? I cannot believe that people who live in the first world, in prosperous countries that had been led there by market economies and small but intelligent government intervention can be willing to give up all that for RESENTMENT TOWARDS TRUMP! Just look at Latin America! They are beautiful countries with beautiful people that have been trashed by socialist economies and corruption, and most of all, the cultural damage they have left behind them. Not to like Trump, I understand, not to like the Republican Party, I understand too, but socialism is way past the line. Please reconsider.

Btw, right wing coups? Yes I know there have been right wing coups, but against leftist governments? Please detail when and where they've happened. Maybe if you're talking about western Europe, but in all of the Americas I doubt it.

        • I'm talking exactly about Latin America - coups in Brazil and more recently in Bolivia. Uruguay hasn't had a coup but when all three presidents were leftists the poor were closer to middle class than they currently are. It's a shame that people can't see that the lowers classes have had slightly better lives in those terms than in the current far-right ones.

And, yes, I should vote! I want my family back there to also have better lives and opportunities.

          Have you ever been poor?

You seriously don't know anything neither about me nor Latin America. Bolivia had a coup, indeed, performed by then-president Evo Morales in 2016 when he didn't respect the referendum result that would have allowed him to re-run for an indefinite amout of terms (he had already been reelected two times). The people said no in the referendum and he ran again anyway! Isn't that anti-democratic and disrespectful?? Plus, in this present year, there were elections in Bolivia, and the MAS (Morales' party) was losing to Mesa, the opposition candidate, and then the counting of votes was stopped and when it was restored Morales was winning by far! How convinient hum? This, then, started riots in the streets against Morales and the OAS auditored the votes and found fraud that benefited Morales. So he resigned and current president Jeanine Áñez took office, and she was approved by both the opposition and Morales' represtatives, so what a cruel right-wing coup that was, hum?
I don't know what are you talking about when you mention Brazil, Bolsonaro was elected by the majority of the people in a democratic election, no need to say he's been doing great things for his country in spite of his controversial personality, and don't even get me started on Uruguay. Uruguay had a financial and social crisis in 2002 during Jorge Batlle's administration due to an animal illness from Brazil contaminating meat production and thus cutting exports, and a financial crisis in Argentina that caused an historic decrease in demand of exports and tourism that caused banks and bussinesses to close and left a lot of unemployed people, but a year before the left took office poverty was already decreasing at a fast pace and middle class was growing back. The left didn't do anything for the middle class in Uruguay, in any case, they just put a progressive tax on income that took money away from their pockets. So yeah, you don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about. Please do America a favor and keep your vote to yourself.

            • You haven't said anything about Brazil, though. I'd love to hear your take on it.

(HAHA OK, America - you people will never get it. Enjoy your ignorance.)

Bolsonaro is just as racist and misogynistic as Trump. Or worse, he had one of our newcomers in leftist politics killed.

AND I'M STILL AMERICAN AND WILL VOTE FOR WHOMEVER ISN'T A FUCKIN' ASSHOLE.

              Cheers!

I ask again: Have you ever been poor?
