Based on the limited information you provided, it could be anything from dry skin through to a mild case of shingles.

If there is nothing visibly wrong with your skin, it's probably nothing to be concerned about, especially as you describe the sensation as "uncomfortable". Of course, a doctor would be far more able to advise you as opposed to a bunch of uninformed and unqualified people on the Internet.

Sounds as if you are suffering from a newly discovered ailment brought on by casual contact with people from Australia. It's been named, "Crocs Disease" sometimes called, "Aussie-itis" The disease begins as you have so accurately described. After a week or so the skin begins to become hard and pebbled. Left untreated a somewhat long, spiked, prehensile tail begins to sprout from the anus. This can be quite painful I understand. I would suggest that you seek medical attention as soon as possible.
