Was it normal to be obsessed on daily basis on hardware upgrading?
Back then when crysis was released, I pestered my dad to change my hardware on daily basis until I could at least get 27 - 34 FPS in year 2011 with HD 5870 paired with an older generation and a weaker Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 which however was on a wrong motherboard and due to an issue of core clocks stuck at 2.2 GHZ due to some kind of an issue with hardware or incompatibility, and FPS drops just were too much for me and 16 - 19 FPS was unplayable, so i made my dad just change the motherboard and also upgrade the PSU until FPS became more acceptable and I could play at 30 - 40 FPS. Was it really worth it? Or i was just this spoiled? After i got my another PC with GTX 980 Ti i was blown away with how i could literally crank up all the settings in Crysis on resolution of 1920 * 1080 , including antialiasing and play it smoothly like Half Life 2, so amazing.
