Was she being racist?

So, I was cleaning up at my aunts restaurant and her landlord shows up. My aunt rents her restaurant and is friends with the landlord, so she comes over often. While me and my brothers were cleaning the front of the store she came over and started to talk to us. We all talked a bit and then she starts talking about the Caribbean islands and how beautiful it is and how "we" have amazing culture. First of all, we're Somali we're not some island folk, we are pure African. We then told her how we weren't from the islands but she proceeded to talk to us as if we were, and even went as far as to put on a fake accent. It didn't stop there, while my brother was sweeping she looked at us and pointed out the window, saying "hey guys look, your ride is here". When we did turn around, we saw a cop car. When we looked back at her she was laughing hysterically, as if what she said was so funny. Now keep in mind she's in her late 60's and she's white, so it came off quite insulting. She didn't even apologize. Now am I being dramatic or was she being racist?

    She was being racist and she wasn't at all funny. You have to feel sorry for such fuckwits with their mental illness of racism

        Are you saying there was no prejudice in Somalia? Then gawd forbid, why would ever leave such a paradise?

          Exactly how am I the one with the "problem"? It's as if you're telling me just because there are a lot of racists, it's OK for her to have said that? It doesn't matter if I've dealt with racism in my life, it doesn't make it "right". So for you to justify that, it's mind-boggling. Also, my family moved because of the wars that were brewing. So before you spew bullshit out of your mouth, I'd suggest you do your research. Also, I personally haven't encountered any racism in my life until that day. So for you to assume that I have is dumb.

            I never said what she said was correct, quite the opposite if you read my post again, which is pretty derogatory towards her.
            All I'm saying is why let some stupid bitch get under your skin? She's obviously too ignorant to even suspect her words are offensive.
            Actually, I have done my 'research', deary. And what exactly do you think those wars are about? Love for their fellow man? Not hardly! They are all about hate. Genetic hate, racial hate, religious hate, take your pick, or all three! Hate born of ignorance and intolerance.
            As for never experiencing bigotry in your life? I'm sorry, I just don't believe you. Everybody experiences it in one form or another, no matter their color, religion or creed. Jews are hated by whites and blacks alike. Muslims are hated by almost every non muslim on earth today, even though less than 1 tenth of 1% of them are involved in terrorism in any way. Some males hate females and a lot of women hate men. The Chinese hate the Japanese and vice versa. And the list goes on forever.
            You just cannot escape bigotry on this planet, unfortunately.
            What you can do is just not let it bother you, and understand that it is the bigot who has the problem.
