We are going to have wild turkey, atlanttic oysters, colorful maize, young yams, and local sugar cane and rice. We want to dismess the European food this Thanksgiving.
Rice isnt indigenous to the americas it was brought from Spain in the 16th century. Sugar cane was from Egypt, it just grows way better in the Caribbean.
Can people not just forgive or at this point just deal with the fact that the new world was never going beat the european colonists?
Not even the fact of small pox clearing out 90% of the population, heck I'm surprised it didnt just up and wipe the natives out with how lacking in immunity the natives where compared to the metropolitan europeans that just survived the black plague and lived with animals for thousands of years.
