A lot of people it seems think Southern Americans aren't smart. Half of these people couldn't read one paragraph of Faulkner.

    I'm from the south (surprise) and most people don't seem to think I'm dumb. That said, I, myself, tend to think southerners seem dumber on average. It's more about ignorance than intelligence though.

      I disagree, there are hicks everywhere sure, but I think Southerners are more intelligent.
