I was good at creative writing assignments, art, and English. Everything else was terrible and I hated it (especially P.E., because Logan wouldn't quit trying to grab my ass in the locker room (FUCK YOU LOGAN!)). I didn't start to appreciate things like math until after I graduated high-school.

No, matey! I only went to school for 2.5 years and quit to join the army, I did. I spent me teen years sailin' the seven seas with me sturdy cap'n, 42 years me senior. I ain't got time for the landlubbers at school, no I don't.

  • Not really. I was pretty hyper. In my first highschool I was pretty good, one of the best students in my classes and I used to love doing the work, kind of competing with the other students without them knowing. After I while I started talking to more people and slacking off and then it just became a downward spiral of putting social life before school work.

It got 10X worse when I moved to my second highschool in Wales. All I done was talk to classmates and half assed the work. I could do it but I never really wanted to, I just got bored of it and had family issues that were pretty bad. Ended up getting two therapists due to the school. Never got why I needed two but they were pretty useless. I ended up just skipping school days and going in whenever I could be assed, which ended up being rare.

I used to just piss off my teachers, most of them anyway, which just made me lose more motivation to give a shit. Being screamed at when home then being screamed at when in school, and then having the therapist being such an easy to offend douchebag who was just useless and arrogant and another useless one who, although was useless, was a really, really nice lady.

The only parts I liked about it were the social aspects. Although I've got a decent job and seem to be progressing in it, I still wish I could go back and start again.

    I'm tired...That's why I typed so much.

when I was in the first year of primary school, my parents were asked to move me to a different school after I cut someone's earlobe with a pair of scissors and nearly cut it off. I also got suspended for about 3 months in the last year of primary school because I scraped 6 teachers' cars with a stone in the car park.

I hardly ever turned up for school and when I did I was usually an hour or two late and usually left early. I was naturally gifted at reading and I was top of my class in geography and science without doing any work. the only subject I tried in was PE. I left school with 5 GCSE's. I also never did my homework once all the way through secondary school.

Terrible at high school. Amazing at college/university.

High school was a wasteful blur. I got straight A's in Math and Science, and straight B's in English. I deemed all other studies unimportant, never studied them and got C's and D's. Was admitted to a competitive University because of high SAT scores.

University material had sufficient complexity to actually be interesting. I woke up, enjoyed life for the first time, got an Engineering degree, and then a cutting edge high-tech job.

Everything was fine til 7th grade. I started not doing homework and skipping school and all that. I knew the work I just didn't want to do it anymore.

I was disgustingly good at school. Then eventually I bailed out into real life and never looked back.

    It depends on the subject.
I was generally decent in school, but I was horrible in physics and chemistry. The former I was bad at because of time constraints and unsatisfactory teaching. The latter is my natural weakness (at least in some aspects of it).

I was pretty good in school most of the time and my grades were great in English and spelling (at age 10 they told me my spelling and vocab was at University level) but I sucked at math and still do.

The fact that I was pretty well behaved <most> of the time meant the teachers almost never suspected me when I did do mischievous things, for example: throwing chairs into ceiling fans, tipping all the desks over or putting thumb tacks on the teachers chair.

When I was in elementary school, I never paid attention in class or did my homework, which always landed me in detention. I always put effort in during the second half of the year and broke out even enough to move on to the next grade.
In middle school, I put effort into paying attention and doing homework, but I didn't study and I passed with average grades.
In high school, I did the same thing and had good grades. Grade 12 was nothing but filler classes since I got all the credits needed to graduate by the time I started my last year. It felt so nice to leave after 6th period since I only had six classes(instead of 8 or 9) that year. School was never interesting to me. I always wanted to be somewhere else.

He was white. As am I. I tried to teach him to read. He knew his A B C'S. Maybe he was dyslexic. That was in the late 60's. Maybe they didn't know much about dyslexia then. Not a good excuse for the
school. They get paid by how many kids are in attendance. When I moved from New Mexico to Ca. I was in the 4'th grade and I knew what they were teaching in the 5'th grade. My older sister in Jr. high got moved up one grade.

Did you know that being a good student and knowing things is actually very rewarding? I loved being that person in class that knew everything. I loved that all the teachers really liked me because I was a good student and I paid attention in class and actually learned from them. You don't have to be a horrible student to have fun in school.

I did not care about learning most things they taught.
After that I read a lot trying to learn, I would read encyclopedias. And gain trivial info. But enough to debate most subjects. But nothing of real world use.

Not really. I learned many diff. skills. mechanic on gas and diesel engines, Roofing, cement finisher, worked for the welfare dept. as a maintenance worker.
And a locksmith for 32 years . the last 15 years as a locksmith I was making $100000 a year. then sold out and quit. To my regret. And csn still have a good debate about a lot of subjects. Just a lack of face to face debate. Wit the exception of my father-in-law. Who I seldom see as he lives 6 hr's away.

I'm not rich. I own a 3 bedroom 2 full bath living room, family room house on a big lot. 3 vehicles. 1 pickup, 1 van. and my wife drives a Dodge SUV. We eat what we want. The biggest problem is deciding what we want to eat. Been married 43 years 2 grown sons. And 1 sister-in-law tat lives with us. Her husband died and when my wife went to visit her she looked like she was dying too. She asked if I cared if she moved in with us. we ad 2 unused bedrooms. So we got her healthy and company for my wife. They have the living room and I get the family room. Works for me.

I spent only 2.5 years in high school and I yet graduated a half year late, so you can guess that I basically hated every single minute of high school. There were so many other more interesting things to do in life. I had absolutely nothing in common with my school mates and most of the teachers were just 'doing their job' unenthusiastically. But I did get that gawd damned diploma, which I have never been asked to produce for any reason, in my entire life!
