I smoked weed daily for years. I would discourage it because weed makes you numb you might not be sad but you never are truly happy for long periods of time if constantly stoned. Smoking also yellows your teeth and try some aerobic exercise.. You'll die
Hey Bro, smoke as much "doobie" as you want, not only does it make you happier, it also makes all those dumb asses that come into your life much funnier!
NOT addictive. Just habit forming. I wouldn't worry about it. Weed is like the best sleep aid. Just try not to rely too heavily on it.
Perfectly normal and will one day be prescribed for it once the government gets the stick out of their ass. It's better than taking toxic chemicals/pills to sleep.
No as it can lead to dependency, impaired cognitive function and an increase in developing psychiatric disorders. Just to note insomnia can be caused from addiction withdrawals so it's a vicious circle.
It can only cause an early onset of a disorder that is already there. It does not cause a disorder.... its a non addictive drug in that only around 5% actually get addicted to it...this is because canabis slowly leaves the system...so it doesnt have withdraws like other drugs.
now if you are mixing it with other drugs this will cause problems...
To the op...
Is this weed you are buying in the street or legally obtained weed? It is best to talk to a doctor. If you go to Colorado you can speek to a doctor about your use.
It is psychologically addicting which can be mentally harder than a physical one. Be careful with the research you read and repeat. And several states have legal weed, not just CO.

I personally love the herb but have seen lots of people succumb to laziness. It's fairly common but doing any drug with that kind of regularity is a bad idea.
As with any sleep aid, it isn't a good idea to use it every night. Your body will forget how to fall asleep without help.
I know that caffeine is more addicting then weed.
oh I know...just Colorado is the first that came to mind
That doesn't make it okay to spew confusing propaganda points.
And I think you forgot that medical marijuana has been legal for years. In fact, it's legal in 23 states.
I didnt do that...I offered information...the other person said weed caused mental illness and thats false.
The propaganda would be accusing the drug of causing mental illnesses in people... =/
also no I couldn't remember how many states it was legal in ...however I assumed he wasnt using medical and I think there are only 2 that use recreational
Firstly that's a common fallacy. Secondly more like 10% get addicted which doesn't sound high when compared to say about 20% for heroin but you have to take into account the amount of people who factor into those percentages, cannabis dependancy is the 3rd most prevalent drug dependancy worldwide obviously behind nicotine and alcohol. Widely reported (I'm guessing in America) withdrawal symptoms include insomnia, anxiety, appetite loss, depression and a higher chance of suicide.
I smoke weed sometimes among other drugs, I just don't fool myself into thinking they are not harmful.
Its a fallacy that it causes mental illness in people with none and no family members with it...it would make your illness worse as would most drugs including legal ones...best not to mix drugs with an illness. And no its like 5 or 7%....im not saying it has no withdraws...just not like other drugs and can very based on how much you are using...if you are in that low percentage that does get addicted ...and how long you have been using. Its far easier to quit the drug because it slowly leaves your system...so you are far less likely to experisnce that crash.
and I have met people that experiance no negative effects quitting cold turkey.
im wondering if he only takes it once a day before bed...he might have an easier time getting off the drug if he chooses...and to seek a doctors advice.
