Weighing food & poop

I am trying to lose weight and part of my fitness regimen is to weigh all food/liquids that go in my body and then weighing the poo/pee that comes out. The difference in weight is the water I'm losing through my sweat and breath. I have a bucket and a scale to do this is it going too far or do you think it might help? I'm almost 320lbs and really desperate.

It’s certainly a popular, if unrealized and unexpressed, opinion that fat people poop once a day on average. However, I’d contend that the average obese individual defecates at least two times every day.

Think about it. Fat people eat 3,000-6,000+ calories every day. All that extra material just makes more poop. So either fat people take single 15-24” dumps (which, logically, toilets cannot handle) or they must take 2+ poops.

  • See a doctor. Weighing your bodily waste is meaningless.

Good luck with the weight loss but I'm pretty sure no-one here wants to hear about your goddamned poop.

Yes. It's more meaningful to take body measurements, then you'll see how much your actual body fat to muscle ratio is changing. Scales aren't accurate because you could be losing weight through losing muscle and/or through body waste, and not burning fat.

Cut out carbs and all sugars and you WILL lose weight. Just eat veggies and meat. Guaranteed.
